More Than a Hunt. A Lifetime of Partnership.
At MO Vets Outdoors Uplands Edition, we believe the impact of our program should last far beyond a single hunting trip. While a day in the field can provide excitement, fellowship, and unforgettable memories, our mission is to change a veteran’s life for the lifetime of their dog. By providing highly trained, dual-purpose service and upland hunting dogs, we give veterans a loyal companion who is there for them every day—not just during hunting season.
These dogs are trained to become trusted partners both at home and in the field. Whether assisting a veteran with everyday challenges, providing companionship during difficult times, or sharing the excitement of an upland hunt, the bond between veteran and dog continues to grow throughout their lives. Our program combines professional training, recognized hunting dog testing through NAVHDA or VDD, and the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors to create lasting partnerships.
We intentionally limit our program to four veterans each year because developing these exceptional dogs requires significant time, dedication, and financial support. Through generous donors, sponsors, and volunteers, we provide this opportunity at no cost to the veteran. We aren’t simply giving veterans a chance to go hunting. We’re helping give them a better quality of life, one dog and one lasting partnership at a time.
Our mission isn’t measured in days spent hunting. It’s measured in years of lives changed.
